Nothing Beats a Good Old Nature Skate!

Nature Skate Logo

Nikcarl Skate School hosted an exciting and educational event for its young skaters, a Nature Skate at the scenic Burgess Park. The children were given nature-themed worksheets, much like a scavenger hunt, where they had to find and identify various plants and animals in the park. Their task included spotting a chestnut conker tree, a mute swan, squirrels, butterflies, and even an Egyptian goose.

Burgess Park, rich in both natural beauty and history, provided the perfect backdrop for this adventure. The park is home to a diverse range of wildlife and historical sculptures, including the 'Silent Raid,' which commemorates the lost houses of Burgess Park’s past.

After a short break, the nature skate concluded, with the children feeling accomplished and happy. They had not only improved their skating skills but also learned about the natural and historical treasures of Burgess Park.

Nikcarl Skate School’s Nature Skate was a resounding success, blending skating with adventure and education.

A Musical Addition to Our Next Nature Skate

Nikcarl Skate School is thrilled to announce that our next Nature Skate will feature the inspiring 1989 charity song "Spirit of the Forest." This heartfelt anthem, created by Gentlemen Without Weapons and supported by a stellar lineup of artists, advocates for rainforest preservation and environmental awareness. The song's themes of unity and respect for nature resonate deeply with the goals of our Nature Skates.

During the next event, children will participate in activities inspired by the song’s message. These include choreographed skating routines to the song, nature art sessions where kids can draw scenes from the park, and discussions about how urban green spaces contribute to environmental conservation.

Join us for another unforgettable experience as we skate, learn, and celebrate the spirit of nature together!
